Let me tell you how the lay offs work.

You work hard for the company for years.

They hire new younger workers and perhaps a new boss for you or above you.

You get laid off.

The younger people take over your job

The new boss that has been their for a few years in charge of the lay offs leaves to another company for more money.

Spot on. There's likely some equation formula to skirt around the law by having so many young team mates laid off with a few old teammates—to make it look "well balanced"–it's more illusions, theater really. Humans as capital department is there ONLY to protect the corporation NOT the employees. Who ever still has loyalty, dedication, patriotic feelings towards that place, needs a full psych

April 15th. I do not know about any April 8th rumor but it is on April 15th. Unless they need to do two waves if it is large to give HR a break. Thanks to Centene, big layoffs are now popular in health plans. Anyone with lots of years and at high salary is at risk. Anyone young is at risk to offset the older folks to avoid age discrimination lawsuits. Some of the young have to be sacrificed to age balance the layoffs. It will still be overall hit to older workers but that is some HR math formula they work out to keep from being sued.

We need info on when the lay offs will occur please. We have rents, food, health care, utilities, car payments, insurances, kids, and student loans to pay for!

There is another date but I can’t recall if it’s the 22nd or 29th. It’s a designated/calendared RIF day. I don’t know if there will be lots or just some here and there but it’s there.
