Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Cr---y WFH policy forward

Way to go on going backwards. Company works very well for a year remotely but management decides sitting in a cubicle with a mask on is more productive. So much for higher returns and lower carbon. Can’t lower carbon if you are stuck in hours long commutes.

@1ors, so you're saying that you agree with Google, Amazon and Microsoft, the big tech companies who know a little about living and working in the Modern global world of commerce, personnel and product management. and oppose WFH. Fair enough, but you seem a bit of an illiterate.

I agree with the poster below. All them whinnny cupcake liberal snowflakes who just want flexibility to work in a modern world. I dedicated my life 100 percent to the company and threw everything away especially my jacked up super duty truck I loved to roll coal with. Makes me a big man all that smoke blowing on them cry babies. After I would do that I enjoyed an ice cold nattie light to celebrate. All gone so I can serve this company all my days. Forget family as well. So anyone who wants to work in the modern world and have more time for family and health is just a su---r and a snowflake!

You mean my gig is up? I can’t work from home anymore and appear to be active on my PC when I’m really out shopping or playing a round of golf? Damn it, I will no longer be able to get by with tossing my keyboard into the hamster cage. My gig is up!

Perhaps there needs to be more than just delayed correlation, like any CO2 & warming that has occurred throughout geologic history, you know, something with a shred of scientific proof in lieu of propaganda, for them to have an actual desire to reduce the discharge of what plants need to survive. There's a chance it's because actual scientists may work for CVX, unlike the ones with the gvt. grants.

Sometimes the mask can reduce your peripheral vision - hence, making you 'trip and fall' in the office, especially if you use the stairwells.

Chevron is in the business of keeping demand up and returns high. Make no mistake about it.

Does Chevron really care about reducing carbon? Bahahaha! Only if it increases returns. A net increase in returns!

Absolutely! The company is going to lose a lot of good employees with this decision. The company has worked well for a year and this especially doesn't make sense considering many have team mates distributed around the world. The oil industry is behind the times once again.
