Connection Award

Connection award is replacing IPI, "We want to reward employees on a timely manner without having to wait for bonus payout in the following year."

  • and this is rolling out by the end of April, very timely indeed.

My boss said these awards will be very limited and will need to be approved by upper management.

Where the social media hype? What is the point for me getting a connection award and can’t post about it, and my team can’t give me a bunch of likes? This whole thing needs to be outsourced to make it splashy.

All we got the same old boring online forms and approvals going to the VPs, HR is acting like we are still in the 90s. SMH, if you can’t make a bonus program fun, don’t call yourself an entertainment company.

I want to know what happens if someone deserving does something at the end of year and they've already gravy'd out the p-t of money earlier in the year.

Or if someone does something earlier and a different manager thinks they need to hold back for something later that might either not happen or might not be as deserving.

They say it's plus is that it's timely, but they've created a situation because of a fixed p-t of money that makes a manager have to predict the future.

My reward is in the bank every other Friday.
OT and per diem.
They can't/won't replace that.
But then I'm just a 6 figure grunt.
