Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

HR doesn’t really want your honest feedback

Another RM town hall advertised, another Workplace poll request...instead of an anonymous tool like every other civilized person uses for those things. Does she expect anyone to be honest when their name is tied to their question?
What happened to a feedback rich culture and culture of trust, RM?
Here come the “planted” and non-controversial questions!

HR works for the corporation and management, not the rank and file employee. Never forget that.

When has a group of Karen's ever cared about feedback?

Chevron is scraping data from every form of digital engagement. The pandemic has been a great opportunity to profile team networks by scraping data via remote communication. The polls are window dressing. The meaningless questions at town halls are foisted by the biggest a-s kissers in the organization. We have all seen that.

@1qys, One thing for sure about Information Technology is nothing is truly anonymous. Any question or message transmitted from Point A to Point Z can be traced if need be, no matter if it’s bounced off several VPN servers.

Considering the the level of overall incompetence and sub par IT department do you really think CVX leaders and their lackeys are capable of knowing how to back end a tool like poll everywhere or pigeonhole? They can’t even figure out the systems they bought and/or created themselves!

But are the polling tools really anonymous? Sure they say they are but when a question is posted during town halls I wonder if it really is anonymous on the back end!

OP why are you surprised? R has directly received complaints and examples of concerning behavior about leaders in her function and yet they remain and oftentimes still continue to advance.
I personally only appreciate the anonymous polling tools for entertainment but not because I expect leaders to do anything about it. It is fun to see them get overly defensive though.

I always gave them the feedback they wanted to hear, even though I mostly meant to say the opposite. I’ve been here 31 years and going. Just give them what they want while you are in the payroll.

Proud to be part of Chevron. We are #1 in:

1) Overpaying and getting in early on Dud assets and companies
2) Divesting from dud assets too late in the game.
3) Promoting women who leave behind their kids to be raised by iPads and TV, allowing for the next generation of a** holes with no empathy.

Stand up and have a back bone. I gave honest feedback and provided alternatives. Leadership needs to hear that employees are concerned on our current state of health. Not only our company, but our culture is a mess and leadership and those who reside in the ivory towers are deceived.
