Cold calls

Is any other stores getting forced to do Buisness cold calls? Stores only have 2 reps to open and 2 reps to close with an insane amount of people coming in. Reps are already stressed out with all the changes and now adding someone else’s work that doesn’t do much to the store if it’s a huge Buisness accounts.. I’m wondering if this is only in NEW ENGLAND thing. And our dm is just forcing us to do things to stress us out even more with all the bs going on.

Cold calls in retail do not produce much if anything. None of the reps I know take that seriously. Just another waste of resources decided my garbage can management.

I’m just jealous you have 2 reps to open and close...

Who cares of you have to make calls. Gives me time to sit down for a while and just hear a phone ring, if someone answers it's a quick conversation. If they want the floor on fire then let them have at it. Why do you care so much?

Mathis remind me of the duck quotes back in the days when they made us do 3 quotes for a customer that had nothing to do what the person came in the store for. At this point higher up just thinking “ how can we put more stress on the frontline” this part of the work more Payless movement

Nope we're doing the same thing on the West Coast here. We'll have a staff of three reps and they'll take one off the floor to make SMB cold calls
