Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

I ran into a former coworker last week

He was laid off nearly a decade ago. He was shocked when I told him what the situation was like here right now. He still only had the best to say about Intel. He made sure to note that it was the best job he ever had and that he enjoyed every day of it. He didn't expect to be laid off but after the first shock, he decided that with the good severance there were no hard feelings. I envy him. I think those who left (or were made to leave) in time are better off. They might have an idealized image of Intel, but that's certainly better than what we have.

After thinking long and hard, I ERP-ed in 2016. It was a great choice, and I think most “Class of 2016” people — even the ISPers — are in a better place now.

I’ve encountered earlier exit-ers that are even happier. Seems that the further away you are, the better Intel looks in the rear view mirror!
