Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Is the ExxonMobil proxy vote anonymous?

We keep being bombarded to vote by ExxonMobil in the upcoming Annual Vote (Vote Blue / Vote White). Just checking if anyone know if this is track or anonymous. I used to trust the company and never voted against the recommendations but seriously think it’s about time to change; it’s definitely not improving and change needed.

Voted against Darren and his cronies.
They can’t trace every single vote to a specific share, the tally is done by accountants to certify. Otherwise they would cheat.

Engine no.1 will be the last straw for me, will definitely be time to move on if those wacko lefties get on the board.

I've only received the 'Blue Proxy' which apparently directs me to a company sponsored 'ProxyVote' site. I'd like to receive a 'White Proxy' communication, but suspect some of the pro-management gig workers posting here are also stealing from my post box.

There are companies that attempt to maintain almost real time stock ownership records. These records are available for purchase and are widely used to target shareholders in an effort to solicit support for proxies. So, it is easy to know who owns shares and how many.

If a company really wants to know who voted how, especially if the voting is close and they want to audit the votes for accuracy, they can find out how each shareholder voted. Would be expensive and not worthwhile unless the results are contested. But direct insider ownership for XOM represents less than 1% of outstanding shares, so it is highly unlikely they would bother with small fish regardless of how they vote.

But, bottom line, there is no real confidentiality when it comes to your financial assets and what you do with them. But, nothing to loose sleep over either.

@fnj+1aDzIG9A it’s acceptable to vote multiple times including changing your selections. They will only count the most recent one.

Rolled XOM stock out of Voya to another institution in December.
Have received electronic White cards from Engine 1. Have received electronic Blue cards from ExxonMobil. Have received both separately from new financial institution. It sounds like the recent US election all over, but I voted my 10,000+ shares 4 times each. Is it anonymous and will a proxy audit catch this?
They have my IP. Everything you do on these devices is traceable.

This is a great opportunity to show the vote of no confidence so I plan to use it. If employees are being held accountable for results, then the board should too.

Shareholders can vote whether or not they are employees, employees who don’t own shares can’t vote

I’m confused, do employees get to vote to? I already used my vote from owning Exxon stock...can I vote again? It was fun going against every single recommendation by the board.

Yes, they’re anonymous as per government regulation, nothing the company or its “feared” legal department can do about it. I plan to vote with the white card.
