This former employee is fired for using a Dumpster.
The hr department has caused a pr issue and a discrimination issue.

Kudos on the 401k that takes discipline but the rest of the story sounds sketchy and I’m still not clear on why Hans Vesterberg should resign as the CEO of a multibillion dollar company over your refusal to dispose of your household waste properly.
I don’t know what this person was throwing out in the company dumpster, but I know that people that work, or worked for the company take advantage of these dumpsters. I have never heard of a circumstance of regular house trash being a problem. But when people put tires, building materials, air conditioners, refrigerators, the company takes notice. Like regular people, the company pays to have the garbage removed, so if they have a full dumpster the day after it was emptied, they look. If someone got fired, I’m sure it wasn’t regular garbage.
People throwing their personal trash into dumpsters was a big thing about 15-20 years ago. At the garage I worked, managers actually went through dumpsters looking for personal trash.
I miss pulling in at the end of a long day and seeing a manager’s head sticking out of the dumpster.

Yup that’s it code of conduct and disparaging a agent as my boss claimed they had facial recognition software they were using in Rockland, Me oh it was during the time it had some press in Portland.
