I was wondering if anyone on COBRA has heard anything from DELL regarding their monthly premiums? According to the stimulus passed this year, the company will get a qtrly tax benefit and they will pay 100% of the monthly premiums for anyone laid off and has elected COBRA coverage. I IM'ed with a benefits person at the end of March to see if I should pay April's premium and was told I should continue to pay each month as they were still sorting through the new laws and I would be issued a refund once things were sorted out. I've already paid April and May and was wondering if anyone else has heard anything from Dell?

I just rang WellAtDell. If you are eligible (not on Medicare) the subsidy is available from 01 April until the Sep . So.. April, May, (June?) will be refunded and the subsidy will expire the 1st of month you turn 65 (if September or before). We should be getting confirming mail in the next couple of weeks. Looking forward to saving 8k+
I had the same questions. Wellatdell has no answer other than Dell is looking into it. Looks to me like the delay is just another cash grab.
