Thread regarding Ascension Health layoffs

Why is there no more transparency?

I’ve been disappointed in this company before, but this is definitely a new low. Is it possible that they are so secretive when it comes to layoffs? To them we are just not important, that's the point. If nothing else, they could be a little more transparent, but no, they do it the Ascencion way....

I think there will also still be Ascension Tech staff onboard to stand up the shiny new technology and move data off of the old, wrinkly technology. And with Ascension being as big as it is, the next shiny new thing is just around the corner so I think that will keep people employed for the foreseeable future...

You've got it backwards. The purpose of the national teams was to set up the framework to to easily outsource.

Maybe some teams coasted, but most who remained had their workload double or triple.

You are correct about the final layout of a small in-house team who will be tasked with keeping the Service Providers in line. To which I add: good luck!!!

I feel they’ve been warning us for some time now. The moment they made local teams part of national teams they started to see what very little certain individuals or teams did over the years. I would dare say some of them deserved the chopping block.

It seems there was a golden age where people got their friends pay and titles that weren’t deserved and like a biblical scene that tidal wave washed away the greedy sins.

They will continue to cut and outsource until there is only a small in house team to keep all these contractors in line.

I hear about bonuses and what not. That may be true but if you remember Tony was making about 17 million a year while the lowest paid tech or nurse is what….

I’ve heard of many managers trying to get their employees raises to no avail.
