Some here say that IBM replaces people who have gone with people who are just not up to the tasks. This is certainly a big problem, however, I don't really notice that this company replaces people at all enough. That may be an even bigger problem. The two colleagues who did a great job were not replaced for months after they left.

When at "IBM I've seen people RA'd then they bring them back as contractors at lower pay and no benefits.
Very true. Teams are completely understaffed. People are forced to work countless hours.
Depends on the team and BU.
If the ibm exec team cares about the product they replace with college grads or from some no name companies.
(only those people want to join ibm)
In case of replacement too, it's not immediately replaced and hence a lot of knowledge is lost and ramp up takes huge time
