Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Cobra premium paid by Federal Government.

Has anyone heard from Honeywell about this coverage? Based upon the last covid bill ( march 2021) the Fed is going to cover premium from April thru Sept. We called benefits center in early April and they said we'd get something in writing from HW. Wondering if anyone has received a letter....

expected response - HON will drag it out as long as allowed (thus no notice until May 30). They will then wait for you to beg, then beg again, then beg again to get reimbursed for previous payments. THEN, you will wait for their check to go through the 180 days accounts payable process

we won't see any of that money until the end of CY2021. They are hoping people either give up, or aren't aware it's an issue.

Remember, even though the government will reimburse them for the subsidy, it will totally f'up their cashflow.

online chat. Me : I like to know when Honeywell going to inform us about the COBRA subsidy? I have a payment already due May 1 . Its been 2 weeks since last inquiry.
Chat guy: I understand that you are waiting for quite awhile with regards to the American Rescue Plan Act for the subsidy cost for COBRA. As of this time we are still waiting for the final communication from Honeywell. A notice will be sent no longer than the 31st of this month. If there will be some adjustments, it will be processed accordingly.
Me: Be refunded for Apr 1 and May 1 ?
Chat guy: We don't have the final communication about that . We will let you know once it is finalized.
Me: According to DOL Hon is required to notify qualified beneficiaries the premium assistance. Also plans and issuers should not collect premium payments from Assistance Eligible Individuals and subsequently require them to seek reimbursement of the premiums fro periods of coverage beginning on or after April 1, 2021
Chat guy:We understand. We will all be informed once everything is finalized.

I contacted the benefits center last Thursday. They said they were waiting on an update from Honeywell. Wheels are turning slowly as usual.

Have not received anything as of now but I believe that we will.
Take the federal government, add a large corporation, and you have inefficiency squared.

check out this thread a few lines down. Same response; you will see your money on the absolute last day possible before HON gets hit with some sort of penalty for non-compliance.

the HR team continues to hide behind "we're working on it"
