I wonder if others have a problem of literally being overwhelmed with work in the last few months? It’s really too much work, and I don’t think I’m exaggerating if I say I do work for 3 people.
That is not normal. I don’t see any other solution other than to leave this company because this no longer seems like a passing phase.

I'm a senior architect. I pretend to be busy with multiple projects, but I rarely do any actual work. I take home about $300k / year for less than 10 hours a week of real work.
My main work is dialling into 10 conference calls each week and telling other people what they need to do. ("Test your code before you deploy it."; "Use better variable names."; "Look at this new requirement that I will use to blame you for schedule slippage.") My VP has no idea how to write code, so I just tell him that I spent 40 hours on 2 hour task. I've setup Clarity so other teams take the fall if we ever miss schedule commitments.
I've barely worked for the last five years. I'm amazed that senior leadership hasn't noticed. I feel bad for all the poor saps beneath me who actually need to work while I'll doze off.
I know I need to find a new job because Fiserv will eventually realize how useless I am. It is hard to even get motivated to look for a new job when Fiserv pays me ~$1000 a day to take naps.
So we have the downside of having a limited number of days of PTO, but we also have the additional downside of unlimited PTO's side effect. Why choose a downside when you can have both?
Your boss may not say no to PTO but you'll feel it at your next review.
Yes but think of the cost savings - 1 doing the work of 3. Wow, a bargain indeed. You should also get salary of 3 people but that ain't gonna happen. If you read this board, GET OUT NOW even if the FD shills say you are a worthless piece of Fiserv sl--e. Remember on FD staff gets to stay. Ever look at First Data layoffs? Hmmmmmmmm - nothing there.
100% agreed. In my team we are always encouraged to take time off but then if you do, you get chastised and "gently reminded" about project deadlines and "being there for the team". Years ago I took a full week off and got punished when I came back - never doing that again.
Not really a Frank thing, just the reality of the pandemic.
Yes, the workload has been unforgiving. While time away like the other poster suggests is a great idea, many of us do not want to take time off because of the he-l to pay when you come back. This is the way Frank likes to run companies.
The pandemic has placed most of us (worldwide, certainly not just Fiserv) at our home desks for too many hours. Many of us have slipped into a ‘I live at work’ feeling, so you are not alone. Best thing you can do is take a break get away from work for a week or two. Your boss will understand, (there have been dozens of articles that HR has published encouraging associates to take time off so your boss will not say no). Then reevaluate if it was just you falling into a routine or time for a change. Trust me you will have a clearer head once you get away. Also remember we will all leave our jobs some day and the company and life will go on.
