job descriptions are not always great; apply for more roles and talk about what they are really looking for. there is no penalty for applying for multiple roles.
I heard that 41% openings last year were filled by internal applicants. Then you need to consider when you are applying to the wrong grade(e.g. applying to vp position when you have limited yoe), and some of the ads are for h1b filings.
It's not JPs fault you dont have the skills
Maybe try getting into customer service as they will give almost anyone a try. But once in you work work works be ready
Why would you want to work here. It's awful. I want out ASAP
sometimes luck disguises itself
if you are a white male forget it. they have been hiring and promoting white women. to them that is affirmative action numbers lol
My experience has been the same also. My resume reflects the exact type of skills detailed in the job postings for which I have applied. Makes me wonder if they’re not even filling some of the roles they’re advertising. Maybe I’m being saved by not getting attention from Chase.
OP
The same is happening to me as well. I couldn't even get an interview even though I have good experience.
What positions are you applying for? Your resume has to demonstrate achievements, take chargers, problem solvers, have no life because you're working overtime-er (literally any company), follow STAR format, come to me with the solution not the problem, able to do the job of 5 people 😀
You are mad at bank because you are a sheet candidate? Its competition b-a but so worth it once it. Keep at it
If you're not even getting interviews, it would hint that your resume isn't matching the job req or it isn't meeting the expectations of the hiring manager. There is no magic bullet here, you can try tweaking your resume and use buzzwords, but otherwise, keep trying elsewhere and good luck.
