Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Let’s talk about the employee surveys.

So the company encourages us to complete surveys and advise that they are anonymous So we as employees believe them and complete the surveys. Right?

The results came in and leadership is crying. Managers beg their staff to provide feedback that they can take to their leadership. Feedback was provided.

We were rewarded with retaliation. All of my teammates that were vocal providing their feedback with the manager all received very negative comments on their yearly reviews. Negative comments on your yearly performance review will surely sc--w you out of your normal 1% merit pay.

The lesson here is never provide your honest opinion on the yearly surveys or honest feedback to your manager.

Yep, the same happened to me when I dogged FB for his stance on remote work. Negative comments on my employee review. Which also had ridiculous "goals", which had zero impact on my daily job function.

I contend that these surveys are not blind. I never trusted mgt anyway. But I was not going to be silent.

Performance eviews were completed in Workday by leaders before the survey results were released. Maybe you just have a poor leader...

The comments are anonymized but I can still tell who in my team is making them based on unique phrases they use of particular issues they complain about.

@1odg+1aIysQCV Which post did YOU read?? Providing feedback doesn't mean you hate your job. In fact, it means the opposite. It means you care enough to stick around in hopes that it will get better. The reason surveys are conducted are so management can get that feedback and make those changes. Good or bad Management should NEVER retaliate. If you are a manager, shame on you You need some training - big time!

So funny. Here’s the deal. They want your feedback. BUT it better be positive. And here’s the secret, it’s not anonymous

Agreed. Some years ago a common (and justified) complaint was lack of communication, but then "leadership" responded with the Workday goals program as the solution, and has been piling on additional processes to punish us further over the years. Leadership literally just wants to be able to run a query to see who did what; they don't even like to interact with their own teams anymore. Communication still isn't any better, and now we have to waste tons of time proving that we are getting work done, instead of actually working. Nice one, FiSham.

Consistent with the OP, I tend to just lie on the surveys now to avoid further Workday/process punishment. So this is why it's hilarious when HR comes on here with the "We got a ton of positive feedback!" posts... it's all fake, HR.
