700 more jobs to be cut as well as asset sales!! All this posted today in quarterly results. 2021-2022 will be interesting!! Packages may be reduced as well from golden handshakes in first quarter!!

They don't have to pay the same packages just bare minimum by law and this time many will be let go by Cenovus not by Husky as previous layoffs. 097
Getting laid off isn't the end of the world , sure sucked for a bit nobody wants to find a new job especially when there's not that many jobs out there never mind they don't pay the same , but honestly not working for cenovus is pretty sweet , and a June layoff would be minty take the summer off enjoy life again de stress after years of bs

If anyone thinks Cenovus has to pay the same packages as previous is highly mistaken,, By law severance has to be 1 week per year anything else is at the companies discretion!! Sorry to have to break the news!!

Stop the bu11sh1t. They have to keep the packages consistent with past ones or they would get sued. Stop spreading rumours. And the one thing that is constant at Cenovus is / are layoffs. Non stop since 2012 and will keep on going. If you don’t like it start looking and keep your eyes open like the rest of us. If something comes up I would run not walk out the door.
Layoffs will just continue forever. The industry is in recession and Cenovus will shamelessly cut. Remember to do what is best for you and not the company.
