Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Load of Cr@p: Townhall Question about senior employess?

I could not believe the bull $hit response of my 6th level to the firsy question about all the retiree takeaways during his first townhall today:

Stinky does not want to see anyone leave the company because of the recent policy changes. These changes were throughly discussed and not intended to make any employee leave.

Then WTF did Stinky enact them? I guess my 6th level did not watch Stinky's December broadcast where he clearly showed his disgust with (older) employees.

And this new 6th level wants to build trust?

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

In response to private jet usage...
Southwest airline certainly makes more sense. Just Uber to Love, it will be much cheaper wouldn’t you think?
Unreal! They surplus thousands of employees, yet spend like drunken sailors for themselves. Sickening

Let's see how much mcfreshy lies about it on Thursday. Pre-submitted questions are top heavy with slashes in benefits (vacation, salary, retirement).

Those questions won't remain. There were several questions with hundreds of 'likes' that were mysteriously deleted when the E&O town hall started. The first question they answered only had about 60 likes. And they continuously deleted questions as the event proceeded. They would probably say they were just consolidating the questions and cleaning them up. All lies. Take a screenshot now for reference later.

I pity the fool who asks a question off script in a town hall or other such forum. Proper protocol is that ringers prepared in advance with questions will ask the chosen ones holding the prepared answers, all others are out of order.53

Not to be critical, but the c-suite executives can use the company jet for their doctor appointments! How many rank and file have access to the corporate jet if they need critical care? I was surprised when I read this in the proxy statement!!! Why can’t this person book a ticket and go thru TSA like everyone else!!!

"T is delivering 1G speeds to businesses and the customers couldn't be more delighted!"

Here's my experience with our gig circuits, had one pulled into my retail store so we had a clean dedicated connection to showcase max. After it was installed, it took me nearly a week to get it operational, Mumbai tech support repeatedly gave me the wrong IP addresses. After calling back every day for a week, I finally got someone there who figured this out & gave me the correct range.

My "Gb circuit's" speed? Maybe 700mb, so about 70% of advertised. And it's gone down more than once in the last few months - how did I find out? A call from Mumbai three days later asking me if my circuit was back up.

It was just like any other customer service experience I've had with this company - call and call and call until someone competent picks up the phone. I can't believe paying customers put up with it.

I could have been more delighted, to say the least.

AT&T is trying to cut high legacy costs. It is trying to get younger and leaner. Getting rid of higher cost older employees is a must!!

It isn't as much about how stupid they are but how stupid they think you are. The arrogance to think that we are so d-mb to believe their lies is truly amazing. However, this leadership got rid of the individual thinkers and kept the yes men. There is no surprise here or on Thursday with McFresh.

Because we can see the votes, if he ignores them he'll even be more of a s**t and if he addresses them, we'll see if he's the same kind of liar as your 6th level.

“Does not want” and “not intended” are passive negatives which are pretty obvious. If stank and company had any backbone, tell us exactly what they want, and what they intend to do instead of back paddling like a 5 year old.

HR has been shuffling the notion of raising the low end of salary range and giving more vacations to those of less service as “competitive” vs the industry. Yea, I’m good with that. Takeaways from senior staff is anti-competitive, period. The fake smiles and excitement can’t over up the BS.

AT&T is very generous to its senior employees. Glad to hear Stankey affirm that.

Remember how they got slammed several times for lack of transparency on the NPS surveys.

Their solution, stop the surveys.

That tells you everything.

Why does it matter what anyone says? It doesn't matter. You hate the company so you will spew anti-company blather anyway.

I always ask - Was his/her/she/him/other's pronoun - lips moving?
Then.............
Yes = Lying
No = Truth

Hopefully your next town hall will include your 6th level, Stankey, and HR. This leaves little wiggle room for fiction. What a hoot that T C-Suite is not negatively biased toward senior employees. Sounds like you need a new 6th level!

How do you think this guy got to be a 6th Level at AT&T? One of his "qualities" is being able to lie with a straight face. To anyone who believes in his response to this question, I have a bridge in Brooklyn that I own and I will sell it to you at a very good price. Please call me, no reasonable offer refused.

A blind man can see what is going on. AT&T is short on cash and long on debt. I'm reading this today:
https://www.fiercewireless.com/operators/at-t-digs-into-c-band-multiple-trials
“Moreover, they have only articulated plans to deploy to 100MM POPs, while Verizon is targeting 250MM or more and T-Mobile is targeting 300MM. This will leave AT&T at a serious disadvantage that will leave their wireless business in a weak competitive position...."

This is entirely a cash shortage situation.

The shareholders are hardly unscathed. Why would anyone else be exempt? Personally, I don't think that they're operating with the type of urgency that the situation requires.
