I know that layoffs are an ever-present threat at Verizon but this situation with the sale of Yahoo and AOL looks to me like good grounds for further restructures within the company itself. Could this sale trigger a significant wave of layoffs?

Any minute now
They've been restructuring VCG and Krista's Org especially for 12 months now.
Yes verizU n better put fire under there 5G plans and HOPE it work otherwise heads will roll..lol
if you havent seen all the meetings & hunkerihg down company getting ready for another round of lay-offs
Expect layoffs on the admin area if they supported the sold assets. Else, it's a carve out. VZ Media operated independently of other areas. But if you have been around long enough, always be prepared, always expect it.
An odd shaped cloud could trigger layoffs at Verizon
Na, I would expect the normal 10 to 20 thousand a year Verlieson has been laying off for the past 10 years.
MIS form is having extreme high cost. Verizon should bring more of managed services on board.
Plan on layoffs. Any time a company get bought out, the company that takes over has staff that will run the new operations. Many get rid of duplicate job positions.
IT is empty, not too many people left. You can’t take a day off without getting a phone call with “we need you online ASAP”. Infosys is there but, not reliable. Infosys folks leave the company within 6 moths. We train them and then they are gone without a notice.
Yep! Which is why I'm moving in with my boyfriend just in case.
