If you are white male, why would you ever consider working for Chevron. Read the WSJ concerning the CEOs comments on pushing more women into leadership positions. Look at the recent reorg and count the number of white males released on a percentage basis. It is crazy how a major company could do this type of discrimination.

Who said anything about not liking women being promoted? I happen to be a woman who has received many promotions. I just think it's ridiculous and petty to promote anyone based on race or gender, and it's artificial and meaningless although it's done more these days than ever has been. If that's how you got your position, you did not earn it and you'll just have to live your life as the big lie that it is, @1tfm. Now you can go cry and jump in your mommy's lap like you always do, glad you're not my child, lol!

Chevron put its war on white males in high gear once MW took over. MW believes that all non-high-pots are interchangeable (and expendable), so why not look good to the media by pretending to be woke while managing a dirty industry? Combine this with his genuflection to the dividend, and you can see that he has no plans for Chevron beyond his own retirement.

Yes but if you look at all the other staff let go between 2013 to 2019 prior to the last reorg you would notice they were all POC, so obviously once you exhaust your pawns next up in the queue are the white males.

True, but if you are an above average white male or even top of the job candidates one, you will very likely get overlooked for a mediocre POC. That's the point being made here. Try to stay focused.
