Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

I can’t believe anyone

I don’t know about anyone else. But the worst part of my job now is that it doesn’t matter who the leader is. I can’t believe anyone. I don’t trust any leader at any level. It just seems like everyone is covering their backs by lying to everyone else. It’s all a domino effect. Less reps. Less GMs and SMS, Less stores, less DMs, less directors and so on. And in the meantime each one is lying to the guy that reports to them knowing that their future is bleak. And it’s just one nasty cycle. Unless you got leading last year you are on the chopping block. Which only a few people did that’s how they saved certain employees.

What did you think would happen when a corporation like this looks to get rid of managers that knew how to manage. The more they RIF, the more sc-m you have left at the bottom of the barrel that will lie just to move up. Our director retired without notice, and all of his area managers were climbed over each other to be the next direction. The VP went outside the area for a new director, fortunately. Poor George and Mitch didn’t blow hard enough.

Please stop calling them leasers. It gives such individuals god-like status, a cult-like North Korean Dear Leader ring. We’re all human. Don’t participate in making yourself a subservient unequal peon in status.
