Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Anyone else scapegoated on their team?

The company loves to put up a facade of professionalism but is anyone else noticed the unprofessional manner in which managers conduct themselves? My manager is a disrespectful POS who gets wayyy too personal and keeps starting projects that will obviously fail but guess what the team has to work 80 hours a week to fulfill his grandiose fantasies. Any other horror stories welcome!

@tqf+1aQlAiWd Bad managers have nothing to do with the company? lol. So you don’t think the company promotes and fosters toxic personalities and that maybe why the company is so toxic top down?

Yes, managers are human (well atleast some) but if they suck at their job or suck in general, shouldn’t they be fired?

Bad managers have nothing to do with the company, or maybe I should say it's not just THIS company. My manager here is decent, not great, but never did what you describe from what I know. Managers are people and some suck. Some suck at being humans and some suck at their jobs. You need to get over it and figure out a solution, either put up with it, prove them wrong, or quit. Complaining on an anonymous message board won't get you anywhere. This company has 44,000 employees, your experience is not universal.

This happens all the time. Pompous managers getting promoted and becoming even more pompous, taking credit for their team's hard work and thinking they run the entire company. There is at least one manager who mentions religious beliefs from time to time, and not in a friendly incidental way but in a "My beliefs are better than yours" way. Very tempted to report it but I know it will just get ignored.
