Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Job Analysis Study

Another survey - this one supposedly anonymous by an outside firm (SHL) and sent to randomly selected Band 3 employees.

Supposed to take 30 minutes, and it’s purpose is to “...ensure Honeywell uses the best hiring process possible.”.

Does anybody know more about this?

I laugh at the ‘hire the best candidates possible’ statement. HON utilizes an outside service to recruit.

You will either get a diversity recruit from one of the university hiring events and be forced to take an intern or what ever the recruiting firm can scrape up.

Since not too many people want to work for HON due to its reputation, you get what you can.

Luckily, it doesn’t matter since they will be in the hire to fire category. Need that young blood to sacrifice some older emperor to make the numbers neutral.

My exit plan is well under way. I answered yes to the question about leaving in the first survey. I'm 45 and am actively interviewing. It's amazing how much more other companies value my expertise and experience compared to Honeywell.

So to those of you getting this second survey request; did you answer question #24 on global survey that ‘NO’ you weren’t planning on being at Honeywell in two years? If so, I would guess they are architecting your exit plan for you.

Curious of the ages of those who got the survey email? I am 59 and got the survey. Like everything at Hon it stated simple and 30 minutes, I can't even read and click that fast, but was more than that.

It was a joke, couldn't really say what you wanted. Seems like corporate leaders "hope" that us worker bees can somehow drive growth and cash.

Plans are already underway to expect a big exodus out of Honeywell especially aero. Several plans for recruitment, knowledge assesment, etc.. are taking place for our ALT to come up with a quick solution to address the inevitable. Problem is that our ALT doesn't even know what the ones below are doing therefore, this is going to be a good comedy in the making.

I took the survey and it's two rounds of the same questions in two different formats. Interesting how this survey came about after the last survery where 25% of employees said they are planning to leave in the next year. The recent email about going back to the office clinches it. The exodus has begun, Darius and Madd Dog expected it to happen, and now they think they can cobble together 20 newbies with a year of professional experience to replace one veteran with 20 years of experience. And then these mental giants will reward themselves with more h00kers an blow! I'm getting out very soon. Not waiting around for this $h1thole company to implode.

It is a long survey and all are about what qualifications HW needs for your replacement (s) . Kinda obvious here but RIF is around the corners. HW knows how to treat old and experienced workers.

Tell the RIF master how to attract your replacement? I thought the MBAs got paid to understand “the marketplace”. More uncompensated work against my yield to bailout mental midgets. We need less steal good stories and more cash in the hand.
