Not all Stankey's fault

I'm seeng tons of caca loaded on JS but let's not forget who drove this project. T-Mobile, dish, warner were all Randall so I'm pretty sure i know his favorite Steve Miller song..."go on, take the $ and run".

Don't forget Randall got a mil to come back as a consultant under Stank. Would love for someone to uncover what the heck we are supposedly getting out of that.

That would have been better spent giving a random employee that money in a lottery.

Actually, yes, Stankey takes a huge part of the blame, he was the one pulling the strings in the background for decades. Remember he was Chief Strategy Officer not too long ago? And he bullied out Donovan (and others), who at least had more financial and operational sense than Stankey could ever muster? A lot of the cash that Donovan's org generated was siphoned off to pay for Stankey's and Stephenson's acquisition follies. Sorry, no sympathy here. Stankey got everything he wanted, and he was a hugely mistaken. Which everybody - except him - saw coming. DTV & TW CEO's laughed all the way to the bank when they sold their piece to these fools..

to: @fqk+1aUiUtxQ , not defending Stank but the top makes the decisions and RS was the CEO and board chairman. Stankey wasn't on the board to approve this, RS was.

I agree, not all the Stanksters fault.

Randall's flawed rationale and terrible timing on scooping up DTV and TWC at their peak value sunk any hopes of executing his media conglomerate. And the board clearly pandered to that misguidance.

Was watching Sqwakbox on break and Cramer was HAMMERING Randall. Pretty much called him an a--hat, which was entertaining.

Anyway, at the end of the day someone mentioned Stankey was complicit and id agree to a degree, but i dont blame him, when your handed a flaming bag of sh!t at that level, you have to try to make lemonade out of it.

Im honestly just glad they are trying to unwind the clusterf!#ck that was Randall's vision, getting some scrap of value for DTV and WM even if through 71% shareholder ownership of the new entity created from the DISC/WB merger in 2022 and getting back to what we fundamentally are:

Which is a telecommunications company.

You are absolutely correct. The board had to hire Elliot investment to get rid of him but they also gave him a golden parachute to land safely. The board is to blame here too. After all, they had to approve all his M&A strategies.
