What happens to Xander

Just add the whole Xander debacle to the list of bafflingly uninformed T business decisions over the last 10 years, right along with the T-Mobile merger, acquiring Directv, launching Directv Now, Digital Life, launching AT&T TV, acquiring Warner, launching HBO Max, etc ...

In a sane world, anyone with such a string of colossal blunders and boneheaded moves would be living in a tent under a freeway overpass, panhandling for a few pennies. But this is America in the 21st century where that simply doesn't happen to CEOs and other self-proclaimed titans of industry. In our society no matter how badly a CEO messes up the absolute worst that would happen is they be quietly removed and given a lifetime pension worth several million dollars per year.

The punchline is that T's recent adventure into the entertainment world has put them in a very distant third place in terms of mobility and internet service. Both Verizon and T-Mob have expanded their 5G bandwidth and are even starting to offer 5G home internet service, at a fraction of the cost of T's barely-available fiber.

The immediate future is not good for T, having to play catch-up on what is their core business. It looks even worse when one considers that Stinky & company are still running things.

Entities will entice buyers when they create value and brand, that is not the AT&T way. No one will be kicking the door down for xander, another forgotten science project that went no where.

Yeah, Xandr was to be our mini-google and the new cash cow for AT&T. The just spent money (and continue to) with little to no revenue. The execs have already jumped ship and the rank and file just keep rowing the boat with nobody at the helm.

It will be mothballed just like digital life and all the other cr-p that makes no money. Goes to the ATT wasteland ie corporate strategy waiting to be sold.

Looks like we're keeping it? Couldn't sell it off, I assume it'll just go away eventually. Another pipe dream that was going to transform the company.
