Are VSP-ers being rehired in-house?
I saw a familiar face, not seen since 2018.

I shop at Amazon. Super easy and cheaper. No lines, no slams, no Verlieson price gouging.

Retail stores will still be apart of the picture. So enough with the retail is dead, retail is converting, retail this and that. Verizon would not get rid of the front line entirely. You need to have a face with a name. That's why stores will exist. To think that Verizon would throw their brand on the street, take away their ability to generate revenue with high school kids being the face of their company? Your a fool! Do any of you goons even know how indirect store stays alive? They sell everything under the sun to make a buck. People posting on here they get paid $12 a hr to do the same job, yes some of them pay an hourly wage but pay well on commissions. Some don't pay hourly at all! Commissions only! So they give zero sh--s because they need to grind to make a living. Think about that. All your stupid rebuttals go against the new "contribution" model. They want to make money. They need to make money. How exactly do explain "one experience" when you have to different compensation models. Yeah Verizon will convert almost all stores to indirect and the company will fold. That makes sense. Yeah the metrics will be drilled into that young 18 year olds head and they will lose their job. So worth that $12 an hr to deal with the pressure when they can be flipping burgers.

The real question is how they think they are gonna get indirect and direct on the same page with the one team bs. If they think there won't be animosity toward each channel then you know what will hit the fan. Trying to balance "RIS" with corporate and we only get paid on "sales" with indirect is gonna cost alot of peoples heads if they don't get it right. Not to mention it will absolutely destroy the culture and verizon will crumble.

Will we keep the same amount of corporate stores 2, 3, 4 years from now... not likely. It's going to come down to several factors if your store will remain apart of the "journey". Location, traffic patterns, revenue. Plain and simple.

If you store has been an anchor store you are fine. If your store is apart of the new 2 GM structure, your fine. It's the reason they went this direction, to save $$$ only paying one GM for 2 stores, covering man hrs between them for sick calls, Key holders doing SM's job(that's the next cut). So be prepared to help the other store. The rest of the stores will be the ones they will make a decision on. Those stores may be relocated possibly, but eventually become indirect if they aren't making money. Depends on the market and competition in your area. If you're in a area where Verizon is irrelevant then your store could be on the move. Keep in mind VZW has control of their baby. If they want a location that is profitable they will tell the indirect to take a hike and move in.

To say retail will be indirect only is absolutely stupid. You don't know s*** about business. A company will not run itself into the ground. Verizon will not merge with indirect. These indirect stores can barely keep people on the payroll the way it is. Why do you think they have so much turnover? why do you think people that go into those stores complain at corporate stores? Verizon would not stand a chance of survival and destroy everything they built buy making a move like that. The brand would diminish, profits dissappear, stock crumble, shareholders angry, company value in the toilet, the end!

Verizon stores are massively going to indirect (whatever the fu-k that means). Its also when work forward starts and we know who is home based, hybrid, and office based. We always layoff people when a new quarter kicks in but especially to have people off the books by end of Q2 and Q4.

We havent been doing well in the stores.

Haven’t felt relaxed about going to work since pre Covid. Now I’m just waiting for the layoff announcements and how many people are going to call in sick. I know the old days are gone . Who cares that’s progress, if I don’t like it I can leave if I want to. But at least be honest with your employees.I get multiple excuses everyday depending on who I talk to.

Probably getting rid of SMs pretty soon. Maybe more layoffs Everyone’s job is on the line on any given day. No more job security. Not that we ever truly had it. But at least I didn’t go to work worried if I was going to have a job the next day.
