Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Is it surprising how fast things get worse?

I find it strange how quickly changes happen here. Unfortunately, changes for the worse. I didn’t come to this company long ago, and some things got drastically worse in a very short time.

I though that such a large company could go downhill, but that it would happen slowly, however, it seems to me that Nike is going downhill at a high speed.

Was it really that different? I hear from a lot of folks that it was better before MP retired, and that GT “unification” didn’t help. Are JD and RL (talking ‘bout tech) having that much of an impact culturally?

No! Not surprising at all given how many people who lack a back-bone, a spine, or ounce of courage work at this organization! Things will get to a point that nobody would want to say anything they are thinking even it is the right thing to say let alone doing what is right. If you are an external person looking to get into Nike, JUST DON'T DO IT! This place will crush your humanity and steal your soul. For what? Average pay, sh-t benefits, two full-time jobs in one, backstabbing managers and "leadership" team (makes me laugh to use the word leadership to describe his group), no advancement, HR acting like employees do not exist, bad culture, do diversity let alone inclusion, stupidly expensive campus that is not worth the hype, etc...etc. STAY AWAY.
