Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Duped

Randall Stephenson, John Stankey and John Stephens duped shareholders while getting tens of millions in compensation!! This is almost as bad as Enron. Hundreds of billions of shareholder value has been destroyed and tens of thousands of people lost their jobs.

@jmv+1aWUGeCw : shareholder votes are non-binding, so it means nothing. And the only thing corrupt about the 2020 election was Orange Florida Man's constant lies and inciting an insurrection.

If you're a shareholder, you can vote out the BoD when they hold their annual election. That's about as corrupt as this last presidential election, so expect nothing to change!

Stanky should have his job outsourced to a contractor from Mumbai.

Maybe this whole episode can be taught at T-University!

Maybe in a pristine world, corruption and incompetence are two different things. But this is T. Questionable maneuvering with the intent of covering up prior executive incompetence, while personally profiting in the process, really does border corruption. Maybe not legally, but ethically. Feel free to disagree; but regardless, they all got to go. Incompetence is no excuse. This is not the way to run a business.

No promotions or relocations after this multi billion dollar debacle. Kilar will get most of his $52 million after he was blind sided.

I wouldn’t believe anything Stankey said or any information from investor relations. The stock needs to be put in a holding price between $28-$26 until the TW deal closes. Any price over $30 is fools valuation. All monetized assets have been sold. A professional engineer with a technical background needs to be put in charge of the company to build out 5G

What’s so upsetting is Stankey said the dividend was safe while behind the scenes he was planning to cut it. He couldn’t have unilaterally done that without buy in from the Board of Directors!!

"Almost as bad as Enron" = a bit dramatic. Corruption and incompetence are different things.

That's assuming Stank and Randall weren't corrupt. I beg to differ.

The LA times piece from a couple days ago is excellent. It does a great job pointing out all of the promises made and promises IMMEDIATELY broken before and after the TW acquisition. It spells out and calls out the almost unfathomable level of incompetence of our leadership. If I was Stank, I would quietly go away. You've got plenty of money to support the extravagant lifestyle you've become accustomed to. How do you address us with a straight face? With your matter of fact tone, like you haven't been involved in any of this mess over the last decade, and now you're going to fix it? Go. Please.

The BOD's are complicit also. How the he-l do you pick Stinky after he had his hands in on the 3 huge blunders.

Analysts need to question every assumption made by AT&T from now on!! No more softball questions!!! The corruption was the purposeful deception of stockholders!!

The $43 billion needs to be explicitly applied to reducing debt and not being skimmed off for stock buybacks and senior management compensation. Also, there needs to be a moratorium on new borrowing!!!

A plan needs to be put in place to trim the upper management fat, waste and perks!!!

Bend it any way you want but Stankey telling shareholders just a couple weeks ago that dividend was safe after solid quarter oushing share price to $33 and then within 2 weeks dropping the bo-b is at a minmum deception. Street and Mom and Pops are goung to hammer the deception and share price. How can anyone trust or have faith in ATT?
