Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

What are your expectations from this company?

I have lowered my expectations to a minimum. I loved my job very much and I didn't pay much attention to all the problems in this company because I focused only on work. I thought I would never say this, but now I can’t wait for the severance pay because other things that might make me happy aren’t very realistic to happen. At this point, nothing would make me happier than severance pay.

All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

My expectation is that they soon will need to install
anti-jumper nets around the external periphery of any building over one story high,
just like FOXCON in China.

Do you expect me to talk?
No, Mr. Bond. I expect you to die.

Ask not what HW can do for you, ask how much extra you are willing to pay to HW for a job. Just kidding. CEO in a recent interview mentioned that pay increases at HW but didn’t bother about layoffs. HW is about taking and not giving

I expect them to bend over and say please just like they told me to do when they laid me off.

I expect them to nod in agreement as I visit every web forum possible and post every truthful thing I can legally say about how honeywell treats employees and how the employees echo that treatment in the quality of the software and hardware they try to sell for inflated prices to governments around the world.

I expect them to shout hallelujah as I describe the mandates to projects to lower the average hourly engineering labor cost by 50 percent. Managers told in writing to send work to the same skilled “software” workforce whose expertise resulted in the deaths of hundreds of people that had trusted Boeing with their life. Not opinion… just summarizing the FAA report. Truth. I know people who left Honeywell to work on that team. Business decisions impact lives.

I expect them to apologize to all the customers who ask for quality products and don’t get them because the experts were laid off leaving factories unable to produce.

I expect them to keep promises made to young people who took the lower salary bid because Honeywell promised to pay for their masters degree.
