Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Back to Office coming soon

Team meeting today and we were asked if we would be willing to return the office by July. A teammate reminded our manager that FB said it would be after labor day, which our manager said with everything opening up the leadership is encouraging teams to return early. Someone else asked if this was going to be an optional return or a trial basis, and our manager said yes and no. He went on to state that basically the execs want everyone back in the office, see no reason to continue WFH with all restrictions being removed and it would look very good if we choose to return by July. If we were not comfortable we could wait but we should strongly consider returning sooner rather than wait to be forced back. So seems like if you want to keep your job you best return by July.

There is no date when everyone is expected to return. We did the email today saying some are returning in June and we know that senior leadership is part of that group. The rest of of this post is nothing more than speculated nonsense.

"senior leadership will determine next wave" The decision has already been made. Leadership goes back to the office June 1 to prove how 'safe' it is. Those leaders are expected to share how 'safe' they feel after all the work our dear CEO has put in his return to office plan. Within a few weeks the rest of the staff are expected to return. FB wants everyone back in an office ASAP and the leadership are expected to fall in line.

Where are the Lake Mary folks going to go if they are closing that office?

No set date for forcing people back to the office means that they have a date but havent communicated it yet.

This is BAU for Fiserv management

Going into the office is a control and trust issue. The management groups wants to control what you are working on and don't trust you to get the job done.

There is no date given when ‘staff are expected to return’. We asked at today’s call and the answer was there is no date st for wave 2. It was said that the senior leadership will determine next wave.

Work can be done from anywhere (in 99% of cases) - the pandemic just proved that

Forcing people back to the offices is just about old "leaders" who havent adapted to the new world

It’s not a layoff, just releasing people who refuse to come to work

@6mcm+1aXrf4NA Did you even READ the post? the original poster never said return to the office June 1, it clearly states by July. And the message has been clear, the leadership will begin returning June 1 and their staff are expected to quickly follow. I directly asked my manager today who confirmed the rumor is true but asked that I not share with my colleagues until after the holiday. Seriously do your research before you reject something as a lie.

"they are pushing HARD for everyone to come back in, sooner than later"

Take this as a sign. Get in the office now and maybe you will be spared...

I was on a "back to the office" meeting with Mr. Chief HR himself a little over an hour ago and they are pushing HARD for everyone to come back in, sooner than later. I think he needs to be REPLACED with someone more competent. It would be fun to record the things that go on in those meetings and slap it online.

I see great potential for layoffs here. Please note that many major American firms see the benefit of WORK FROM HOME but Fis, eh, First Data is behind the times here. FB does not like it, why god knows but he hates it, so his rule goes - and staff will be laid off.

Please plan on returning, in person to the office. Prior to coming back, it would be advised to purchase a very expensive gift for your manager and for FB. After all, these 2 individuals rule your life and without them, you would cease to exist. FB will have his framed picture throughout most offices, so please also find time to bow ...as you pass his portrait.

FiservProud ! Wear all that stylish orange attire too !

(You buncha incapable, socially inept sheep....all of you are being led to the sl------r house and are too d-mb to see it....baaaaa.....baaaaaa)

This company needs to get with the times. A company can be successful from anywhere. If they want good talent. Remote workers, good benefits and competitive pay will ensure that. At this point i don't see this beast as something that will promote good quality, until it supports its associates more.

Go and above only and only those vaccinated will return gradually beginning in in June. This effects about 500.

Leave it to Fiserv to risk associates' lives by forcing them back into the office too early. Meanwhile, more respectable companies (all companies besides Fiserv) are instating WFH as a viable long-term option.

How are they going to know who's vaccinated? There is no way I am going to go sit in an office when the numbers are still high and the amount of fully vaccinated folks in the state is under 30%. Waaaay too soon and completely unnecessary.

To answer questions: My team is located in Alpharetta, The whole team has been invited back (not just VP) and vaccine is not required but if you aren't vaccinated you have to wear a mask all the time, if you are vaccinated you only have to wear it when you are moving about the building or in contact with others.
