it is the george w bush school of corporatism.

Have you looked at the Board of Directors composition? Stanley is the only one with any experience in telecom. Kennard led the FCC, DiPiazza came over with DirecTV, and Lee's only experience was with Black Entertainment Television. The rest don't come from the entertainment or tech world. They're pure finance people.

This is not the group that's going to help strategic direction in the age of disruption. They were probably surprised by the emergence of streaming video and the app economy.

He also claimed that wall street only looked at how much they bought it for and how much they sold it for as not the "whole picture" as how it affected AT&T's cash flow and the loss wasn't as big as they claim. Supposedly in his math, stockholders getting shares of the spin off somehow have to be incorporated into the money AT&T is getting for it. WTF kind of math is that?

Stankey should be summarily fired, Randall's bonus should be clawed back, and the Board of Directors needs to be replaced. BTW, how much did Elliot know about all of this before they bailed?

Stankey lied yet again today. He said he wanted to" right size" the dividend to match the size of the "smaller" AT&T. AT&T paid a good dividend as a telecomm company. Trouble started when those clowns tried to be Media Moguls.

Stankey is a horrible fiduciary. Check

Yes, Stankey checks all the boxes, no wonder he is CEO of T.

It is hilarious - we had a good dividend for years and years being a telecom company - We acquired road ki--s along the way not knowing what to do with them, how to integrate and make a sound strategic plan that is executed and delivered, Then we dump ( keep a piece of the road ki-l) . Then decide to cut dividend as the company has reduced. Wireless was bread and butter that supported all these shenanigans And now we focus back on wireless and broadband, which we kept saying we dont need to invest in and kept cutting corners over the years. Amazing lesson in corporate mis-governance

Stankey will never take responsibility for any of this carnage. He will become the hero for his ideas to spin off DTV and WM. This is how he will substantiate his windfall from both transactions. Trust me, he will benefit more than any other individual from these deals. It's enough to make me vomit.

Cut his compensation (and the Board's) by the percent of revenue being off-loaded in the Warner/Discovery deal.

No, what he said was that AT&T needed to pay down the debt created by the buying WarnerMedia by selling WarnerMedia. Simple, right? LOL

That is the wonderful culture from the top down. When the sh-t hits the fan, blame other people for your decisions and results. They should really develop an e-learning on the Stankey method, bet it will a bunch of training awards.

So, back to focusing on Fiber and Wireless......just like they should have been doing ALL along........Nobody taking ownership of failures. No leadership getting laid off.

I do not share the company's problems, nor will I adopt them.
They never asked me for my opinion before they f'd things up.
Hence, I will try to run them out of $$$.
As long as the check clears I really don't care what they do.

What an absolute clown show! He's 'right sizing' the dividend to align with our smaller company. WTF?
