Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Chevron BOD and Exec Diversity

Board and upper management diversity is quick and easy to achieve since requirements can easily be met. If you want to know where the corp is headed on diversity in leadership, just look at the board of directors -
50% white male
40% female
17% african
8% latino

Oh, and not a single one with any experience in Upstream energy, including the Chairman!

The Chevron executive leadership -
70% white male
13% female
13% african
0% latino

Agreed. Instead of working we should focus on the board. Also figure out if they are vaccinated or not.

I think the board would benefit from a trans person, if there is not one there already. Seriously - imagine the impact. I think it would be amazing.

We now have almost a decade of data to show that making the D&I targets results in many (not all) promotions of substandard managers (and their daughters) doing more LinkedIn D&I videos than shareholder returns (all hail the dividend!). HR is the best example of how to elevate an otherwise peripheral organization into "importance" via D&I.

These people don't play by the same rules they force on every one else. What else is new?

I don't have a problem with diversifying management/Board, but my expectation of all members is that they perform their jobs/positions exceptionally.

Average or poor performance hurts the company's performance and image/reputation.
