Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

I resigned a few days ago and yesterday was my last day. What a huge sigh of relief. I was well over qualified for my position and tried my hardest to move up but I quickly realized it would be a very long time before that happened. Too much bu-----t going on in the exec positions that was made very clear as soon as the “reconstruction” happened last year and beginning of this year. Upper management told me “if you don’t work a full 2 weeks, you’re not re hireable”. Well just as fast as you can sh----n me, I can sh----n you….I finally have an opportunity to be highly successful in my new position and with a company that knows what I’m worth. He-l I was offered more money base pay that what I made base and commission with Verizon. I was very lucky to have an amazing direct management team in my store that does care about each employee and was always honest with me. What I do know that upper leadership is truly fu---d and the DM is quite a quack in the box. No leadership skills and loves to keep people beneath her right where they are. Point of all of this, I made Verizon my life and trust me y’all, there is plenty more out there for you and Verizon IS NOT your life! If you’re thinking about leaving, prepare yourself and search for a good job, good company because Verizon does not care about you in the end and will swipe their hands clean when they’re done and won’t bat an eye at it. Take the hints now and you’ll thank me later!
