I'm planning to leave in the coming months.

An environment which used to be energizing is now causing frequent anxiety. Motivation tends to falter when supposed long term goals seem to conflict with short-sighted (re)actions.

All that said, I'll be leaving some very talented colleagues behind. Say what you will about the ship, but a huge majority of the crew is great!

Just left. Much happier, healthier, not panicky, feel free, relieved and thankful.

I expect to be let go for the 5th time soon. Every time I leave I get brought back for more money when the sxxt hits the fan. The move to Charlotte has been a ginormous brain drain.

As soon as a job offer is available, I will be looking forward to writing my resignation to my supervisor. It will definitely be an end to a nightmare with this company ever since the start. No company can be this nightmarish and I don’t mean just last year.

still it wouldn't be 'normal' otherwise

Most employees stopped working years ago. WFH has been a gift to the slackers. MM will get us back on track. Go Mike GO!

Leaving next week.. It's a good place to work if you have no ambition or you're ready to retire

Honeywell has the same turnover rate as all off our peers. Of course that hides the big question of “who are your peers?”

Every company lacking true vision, principles, and importantly the ability to accept risk ,will just fall back to median. Protected by the heard from any criticism of their ways they will sit and contribute little to society. This is where Honeywell sits. Lukewarm and plodding, tasteless. Honeywell is not spacex and in fact could not possibly become spacex as they sold their ability to take those kind of risks a hundred years ago.

So Honeywell will brag about non-accomplishments and you will see them in the news. “512 qbit quantum compute volume!” Nice job for the school project. other companies have built and field 4,000,000 qbit quantum computers. The DWave machine is available now at ten times Honeywell’s capability. Mediocrity. Wait I missed the caveats and conditions and marketing spin? Winners don’t use caveats and spin.. then send their personal car to Mars just because they can.

Stay and move to deer valley if you want. I am jumping to a winner.

Got out a few years ago. It was a dysfunctional mess back then. Know people still at the company who say it still is. Glad to be gone. Much healthier and happier now.

You really don't see anyone lasting even close to a "normal" retirement age anymore, which was not the situation 20-30 years ago.

I need another 10 yrs for Medicare. No way to retire before then now that Honeywell froze pension salary amount at 2015 level.
Not that I’ve seen any real raise since then.
That salary freeze also froze my interest in promotions.

I got out in May 2020 with the covid related voluntary layoff offer. I was planning to retire later that year anyway. So I left with 6 months of severance (after 34 years) and continued health care. Even got my pension as a lump some (a few months after severance ended) because I luckily chose the lump sum option when it was offered in, what 2002? That way the money is growing in an IRA and Honeywell can't mess with it. I could not have authored a better get out script. With all of that, I am still somewhat haunted by the horrible, toxic work culture that seemed to take over cira 2017. In my experience Honeywell offers a work environment that will eventually drive you crazy. Sometimes the money is just not worth it. For you and your family's health and happiness, get out now! I am poorer now and much happier.

Quit working hard over 3 years ago. Still getting paid for another 5 months or severance if I am lucky.

I left 9 years ago after 29 years. I see from these posts that things have only gotten worse. I took my mistreatment personally but now I realize that HON is just a big ugly greedy dysfunctional organization. Value your sanity and get out now.

UOP was a good company until enforcement of Honeyhell management philosophy made it less than stellar

There are a few pre-Honeyhell leaders and employees left but I fear UOPs beat days are past.

And since we layoff all the development engineers and young employees don’t have pension incentives to stay....

The down hill slide will probably continue
