They keep saying the good times are ahead. They’ve been saying it for years. Now with inflation high, compensation has never caught up.

Valero is mostly US payroll. Since XOM employs alot outside US and Outside EU, XOM average is lower...Basically differences are Global workforce vs US workforce

How the heck is Valero median income 270k. Do they just employ predominately wage employees that work a ton of overtime?

FYI: it's not about any one oil and gas company. I intend to highlight the chart which shows the stats across the industry.

Take a look at those astounding stats. Talk about leading from the front or more like stealing from the top. Executive management has had no issue showering themselves with cash and bonuses while the average worker can't even reimburse a meal or get a proper health coverage.

Now I have no issues with CEOs getting paid a lot, if the industry and company is minting money, but to do so in a battered and declining industry like OG is just criminal.

No company actually cares for any employee. There is nothing new here, sadly. And it applies across all industries.

For the youth out there, it is a valuable lesson. The only person/entity that will ever care about you, your life and your career is you, your parents and grandparents. So never fall in love with your employer. They will never love you back.
