Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

How close are you to leaving without severance pay?

I don’t like to generalize, maybe Mondelez is a great company for some people, but for me it’s not. Especially lately. Leaving without severance pay would be another victory for them, but I am seriously considering giving them that as well, because the stress has become unbearable. I feel humiliated every day and everything tells me that I am redundant in this company.

Very close to leaving, which is exactly what they want.

I hate working here, but only because of the local management team.

DO what you need to do for YOU! They don't care about you now and never will. Best think I ever did was to walk away....I didn't go away without a little something for my hard work and their BS.....but the grass is so much greener on the other side. They are pigs, each and every one of them. Management justifies their behavior by believing their behavior is ok, cause, "we equally treat everyone badly", which BTW ain't true. How about flipping that around and "treating everyone equally good"?
You deserve better, walk away!

I basically just quit. I couldn't deal with the nonsense anymore. I was a rep for 8 years.

Sticking around for severance does seem worth it especially if you have a new opportunity at a new company.

Last EOI offered in the USA was 2 weeks per year with maximum of 26 weeks. DSD optimization they're calling it. They're optimizing you right out of a job

What do you generally get for severance pay in the U.S. In Canada for salaried employees it is usually somewhere between 3 to 4 weeks per year of service. My understanding, it's less in the U.S. but I could be wrong.

I'm right there with you. I've been trying to stick it out, but think I may need to concede as well.

I want to call my DM and say you won, and when I say you won, I want to ask how much he won from the wagers he placed to see how much they could pile on me before I finally quit.

Yes, I'm saying like a contest behind the scenes, or gambling bids between the management team on who will be able to get which employee to quit by over working and abusing them.

I wish this was a joke. It's no joke.

If you are not favored here, you will be overworked and abused.

It's a badge of honor in the management team to be the manager that overworked an
employee, and got the person to quit.

Yes, it's sick, and it happens regularly.
