Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Consider being laid off a favor

Let's be honest, the situation at Nike is so bad right now that being laid off would come as a relief. Yes, having no job is scary but how much worse can the feeling be than the constant stress we have to deal with day in, day out working here? At this point, I'd welcome it.

that was probably one of those promotions to keep her trap shut about something she knew...

Tomorrow will be a test to see if she saw all this! If she did, her behavior, tone, and general demeanor will be interesting to see. Not holding my breath though! Sociopaths rarely display genuine reactions.

I’m really praying (not super religious either) that she is reading these comments - I don’t wish ill will on anyone - except when they are incompetent and can’t see past the end of their nose! I love the fact @3jpf reposted because it was deflating seeing the original removed. She’s horrible. We all know it!!!

Repost with details removed as it seems the original is gone:
I am praying (though not at all religious) to be laid off. This way I have to stop listening to the dumb–s SrD who is running the XTch meeting asking us to describe in one word on zoom chat how we are feeling. How about fed-up, tired, stressed, and annoyed mainly with you bringing up your f—ing “red energy” sh–. No one cares and we know why you do it! Covering up your incompetence, lack of humility, and the fact that you do not care about anyone but yourself! Please, stop this madness. Your own employees cannot stand you. Start supporting your employees instead of making them feel inferior. Stop calling people out for saying something you do not deem correct, timely, or eloquent. You are, undoubtedly, one of the main reasons why many of your employees are looking for other opportunities. You are poisoning the minds or negatively impacting morale. People still have to remind you of what is important every time something bigger than work happens. Your response: a massively fake and emotionless slack message telling us you’ll do better and making empty promises. Please resign now! You are not fit to be in a “leadership” position. Do the right thing and admit to the person who promoted you that you are lost and that you are doing real harm to all around you. Please walk away and salvage whatever little self respect you may have left.

OP, my feelings exactly. If it does come my way (layoff), I think I will celebrate it, which tells a lot about how I am feeling. Not going to speak for others (of course not) though I doubt I am alone in this (well, besides OP).

After reading this board, I never realized I join such a toxic company. I think my next employer will be a small company!
