Serious question. Are you a minority owned business?
I’m hearing whispers that it might change your experience if you are.
Building a more inclusive future after all.

Cisco still has the arrogance of the early 2000s. As a partner, I have not even been able to meet with my AM in 6 months yet AWS and MS and Aruba are readily available even though we may not push big numbers.

It's very disappointing as we have a long history with Cisco. I think they are hiding a lot behind Webex training updates sent to the channel instead of direct communications with partners like us who are not top end of town.

VMware is already beating Cisco at SDN and SDWAN. Arista beats them at switching and Juniper at routing. But Cisco is big. No one company will overtake Cisco overall. Cisco will decline as customer move to the cloud and stop buying data center switching and routing.

The company that might overtake Cisco is a company that can provide SDN.

The way to beat Cisco at their own game is to find their weak spot (DNA APIC EM etc). If you do well people that are currently buying Cisco hardware, will buy your software (instead of Cisco software).

Finally after providing an alternative SDN, successfully, then you should begin to go after their R&S business. It's not too difficult to make a router. Start small and grow...

Overtake?
Cisco was overtaken by The Cloud a decade ago.
It is a company in decline like Sun or DEC, nothing more,

It depends on what you mean by overtake. I don't think that it will be a direct competitor. Companies like Juniper and Arista have taken some share from routing and switching but have not displaced Cisco. Where the real threat comes is from Cloud providers like AWS and Azure. As these cloud providers grow they take busness from Cisco. Enterprise customers put more applications in the cloud so they don't need to build out data centers with high end routing and switching from Cisco. Amazon is making their own switches and so is Facebook, so Cisco is losing out there too.
