Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Those who aren't able to work efficiently from a common PC...

How did the company handle specialized hardware that people needed during the pandemic. Many G&G and RE types need very large monitors to effectively do their work. They also need workstations that are highly powered compared to a common PC desktop. It seems like the most efficient hardware deployment would be done in the office and not at home.

I am also very interested in this.

The very few job positions requiring cutting edge technology actually are manned by employees who work in the office. The company made arrangements to provide the proper setup to safely work in the office building. You are obviously not a Chevron employee, are you?

Remote desktops onto company resources, you can buy a decent high res monitor for home use doesn't matter what local computer you use at your home. I had no problems working on high performance graphics machines while working remotely from home. Occasional IO issues early on which CVX quickly resolved.
