Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Notice some of the positives of people outside of your bubble

I sometimes notice that the groups that are not dominated by “sentiments that seem to live on this website” are more open minded and easier to work with. They are also easier to learn from since they are patient with questions. While hostile people are of all ethnicities/nationalities/etc. people of the “sentiments on this website” seem to form groups of people who think they have a right to say or do what they want without regard for how their actions affect others. Politeness and consideration should not be viewed as subservient traits and can go a long way. They usually aren’t that hard to do, but they can really improve the workplace and productivity.

100% - As is giving a shirt. Go along and don't say anything when the bosses launch down a doomed path. Unless you want to get ostracized and fired that is.

"Being good is a liability when swimming in the Intel cesspool of incompetence and corruption."

the people dominated by “sentiments that seem to live on this website” are some of the few who truly did deserve to be terminated by Intel. I doubt they ever contributed much anyway.

LOL OP... Your post is a joke. Do you really think that people show "what they really think" at work?

“Average” and “outstanding” is relative. It’s–thard to stand out when the general level of competence is so low. Or, being average is not bad if your team are all rock stars.

@jji+1ag9ILLd This is a misconception —good teams of average people do extraordinary work. A person who thinks he is too smart will have very little to show for it. Both at intel and outside world

I am proud to say I am average and world doesn’t owe me anything. I have to work very hard to attain what comes easily to others and I must do that while getting along well with other. This realization has worked well for in life

You must be average yourself...since you cannot expect outstanding work from a team where every body is just average.

I would rather have an average person who can learn and work with people effectively than someone who thinks they are brilliant but can’t get along with anyone.
