PW is well placed, I agree. Plus he is a member of my lawn bowls club...
Open up ladies and gentlemen here comes the ali-GAIT-or om nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom
are you PW? and Define "good bloke." Is this bloke going to make the next EOI pay-out a bit more attractive than last?
I reckon PW could be in the running. He is a good bloke.
Hmm the diverse pool in which to choose the Next "Aussie" MD is pretty slim - most are as st▯▯▯d as they look with t$its for brains.
What does it matter whether the MD is Aussie or American? You think the BS will vanish and your ED will get fixed, and that everyone will get an automatic PSG bump?
Jansz reserves have porpoised up and down wildly over the last two decades. Management doesn’t believe a word from AD at this point.
You can be quiet, have your head down , get the job done and be made redundant for not being visible
Or
You can be aggressive, cook the Jansz reserves for your career benefit, later having to debook these reserves because you f*d up and have no consequences against those actions
Aussies dont know how to talk as much sht as our american counterparts who could probably sell the fact that they blew their nose with a tissue in a closing pmp
Unfair comment about MH. He cleaned up the DWEP mess and got GOM on the right track. Why call him a “hick”?
MH is an 9ld school American hick of the first water. A buddy of the CEO hired the same time 40 years ago.
I would have thought after all the decades Chevron has been in Australia at least someone could rise to GM or so. What’s the issue?
Next MD be an Aussie? That job is very highly placed - no Aussie is at the right level to be in the queue for that one yet. The incoming MD is quite good. Technical and business guy, will drive performance.
Will the next MD finally be an Aussie?
New ABU MD and G&A dropping significantly in the new few years as per the business plan. The next wave of layoffs just a few years away.
Better go and make ourselves visible on workplace
Do you mean those recently laid off from ABU, or is it that you think you will be? In any event, how would we laid off employees know how the ones who remain feel about something or care?
And what's wrong with you people and your delicate "feelings". grow a spine is what you should do and move on with your life like the rest of us. goodbye.
An Indian Elephant.?
They took the D&I too far in the last round lumping five asian males (team of five) in an engineering team with asset development or whatever they renamed themselves to.
Apparently an elephant in the room during the reshuffle which all chose to ignore.
There was one set of footprints in the sand....Mike Wirth was carrying ABU
Feeling? I’m feeling like some roo on the barbe, in an fully agile, diverse and inclusive sort of way.
I personally feel a lot happier than I have for the last 5 years. I may be delusional, but it feels like BU is finally at the levels of staff where we all knew it had to be at. I did move into a new role, the change has been good. I love the work I’m doing; I feel like I am adding value, not just doing something to keep busy, I love my new boss, my teammates, I am waiting for my bubble to burst!!
The lender was Chevron USA!
Yeah, after paying for the debt interest, it is still $50B in the hole.
Au contraire, Gorgon and Wheatstone are flowing cash like you wouldn't believe. They can nearly fund the corporate dividend on their own!
ABU is the white elephant in the room when all other BU's are struggling and repeatedly downsized. 25 years of partying and kumbaya have resulted in gargantuan spending. Company will lucky to recoup even half the money put into this disaster. What a terrible decision quality that's still being paid for by the other parts of the business.
I really miss the good old days on Barrow when it was so relaxed and we fished and drank. Gorgon hasn’t really been worth it for me.
WAO asset leaders jumping at shadows, no direction provided, more advisors than barrels produced per day.
