Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Get woke, go broke?

This has become a popular phrase. But think about it, what role does Cisco's social justice messaging have in creating networking equipment and software? How does creating diversity of skin color among employees enhance a company's ability to delivery the best product and service it can? I can see how diversity in talent and experience or academic background would contribute, but how does diversity in skin color? This is a very relative topic to how Cisco operates, employs, and lays off. Anyone have a good explanation?

Cisco is selling legacy network equipment, and can't develop products internally. Social justice initiatives distract employees, investors, and customers.

And yet the incel community has no explanation for why Cisco hasn't been able to develop working software for more than 30 years, long before DEI and transatlantic links required for sites around the world to truly scale.

How did society get so messed up that people need training to work with other people who have superficial differences and why do so many fail that training?

Oh there are hundreds of such “studies” and they are mostly based on junk science and appear in “academic” journals with 10 readers all with blue hair. It’s then republished all,over to become “the science”. It’s known as information laundering.
