As if it could not get any worse, many GSC locations have the highest attrition EVER. In Brazil, the rates are 2 PER DAY (at least for a while), meaning we cannot possibly backfill these people in a normal scenario, let alone an 8% NSI. Argentina is also the same. With the reduction in benefits and pay for these people, plus the economic environment, they are actually losing money by staying with XOM! Its better to walk away than keep working at these locations. Its so bad in Argentina, they are resorting to LinkedIn job posts to try and fill positions.
Interestingly enough, most of the GSC leadership doesn't care as they are less than 6 years away from retirement and have an "MSP or bust" strategy. Wont matter to them...they just have to say "yes sir" until they retire.
If you're less than 20 years w the company, in GSC, not NRE and less than 26 CL - you better get our now. CL26-28 better get ready for the next 2-3 years of brutal ranking. Pray for $70 oil.
