This is one of those infuriating things that happen here all the time. I have a colleague who does this to everyone. Small or large, he always takes credit from other people who put in a lot of effort into their work. I just can’t come to terms with it and look the other way when I know the truth. Does anyone have experience with individuals like this?

@2rmc+1aiOcutx Who says managers don't help with decisions?
I think idea/credit-stealing is endemic with a lot of managers.
Many years ago, I worked all weekend solo on a product recall issue while my manager played golf.
When a worldwide conference call came up, he took full credit for it. At the time, I already had a job offer pending, but was on the fence on whether to leave. At that point, I hit the "OFF" button on the conference room video feed, and went back to my office and called my recruiter to say I accept the offer.
Yeah, that sounds like a toxic environment, and pretty sh1tty management. I had the same thing happen. I know how you feel. That new superior management group doesn't seem to care much for new ideas. A an all hands were told from the VP, "I don't want to hear about your ideas, nor do I care to be frank." Let just say that management had to do some damage control after the all hands. About half of our team left the company after that.
Yes, I basically only work for benefits while I manage my own entrepreneurship, im cooked with great ideas that would help the company I work for in ways that could automate processes, I’ve had ideas stolen from me with no recognition or credit even though it’s basically on a public board at my workplace it was my idea.
I use my ideas for myself and watch them struggle everyday while I collect my 401k and benefits and never talk.
