So what going on with this new member specialist? At our club some are working the desk 5 days a week. Most are doing other thing but not the job they were hired. They still make $16 but the poor person that is doing their job still makes their same salary not $16.

A member specialists primary job is SCO and exit door. They are expected to produce higher numbers including scan n go and help with shink etc. However, if staffing is short elsewhere.. like a level at the registers, they are to ring people up there. They can still help cover the desk for breaks or if staffing is short there. And cover breaks on registers. No one else should be doing sco or exit except specialists unless there are call outs and staffing is short. Business needs always superseded anything else. As that is in everyone's job description... Where needed.

They stand at the door and scan receipts. I would have taken that job if I knew thats all they had to do.

@qdw+1akBjZHg...h–l the managers are as guilty of backstabbing as everybody else in the club you know they arent going to do anything because they only worry about is the numbers and the money

Listen if I know one thing it’s that the backstabbing is on ALL levels, leadership can’t control it or they would control it amongst themselves as they equally are guilty. Best advice is work hard day in and day out, you don’t go home with anyone at your club, so do what you are hired to do work; then leave and enjoy the rest of whatever it is you like. Balance and knowing you can’t control others but only how you respond. Never return evil with evil... 🙏🏻

Does anyone really know what the so called "member service specialist" job is? In our club they are all over the place. In the beginning they stood about acting like they were front end supervisors, holding the clipboard with the daily schedule on it. Some bossed around the cashiers. Now it seems that they are either at self checkout, the door or in some cased membership. There is only one who gets numbers consistently, the others are lazy. Our front end supervisors are a joke. The one thing that is constant is our club is the back stabbing and gossip. Management needs to get real and get their butts on the floor to observe what is going on. Sickening.
