Denver is nice, but in the last decade has gone looney tune left in a hurry. I wouldn’t move there anymore.
Bigger question is how long before CVX buys OXY CO assets?
Denver is a dram location. Lots of people quit back in the day when they closed the office there and offered them jobs in Texas.

Denver has great seasons and fabulous mountains, River and lake access. Sportsman’s paradise. Coors beer tastes funky to me, but it’s better than Shiner.
2rnq: Are you telling us the mutual fund you’ve got for your retirement isn’t growing and profiting such that you will be able to some day retire and live off of it for 25+ years? Or do you plan to give it all to society and then you live in some public shelter or off your children for the rest of your elderly, sickly existence?
Yes, it's nice you take your "heartfelt" feelings into account when you vote for control and distribution of the earnings of others, as long as you are shielded from any of the negative affects one way or another and/or are a beneficiary.
What’s wrong with being a capitalist, making profit that helps society... and that improves quality of life? Providing services to people costs money. This way of life we enjoy doesn’t just drop from the heavens.
What is wrong with liberals? Their hearts are in the right place which is more than what we can say for conservative capitalists. How many capitalists really want to help society unless there is money to be made either directly or indirectly.
A number of folks accepted offers with the condition that they ultimately move to Denver. People will move or quit.
@1lsl+1amG77UG: True. The People’s Republic of Boulder and the “woke” culture of the Google campus definitely spills into Denver. There will be more and more pressure on Chevron to walk that renewables line.
There is a lot to like about Colorado but beware of Denver. It is surprisingly liberal and anti - oil. There is a very strong and growing "woke" culture is very difficult to put up with and not what an outsider would expect. It is much more than just your run of the mill Boulder tree hugger mentality any more. Just saying.
It’s been just a matter of time for years now that Chevron sets up a huge presence in Colorado. The snowball effect is just starting folks. The song and dance routine during the townhalls is both interesting and humorous. Everyone wants to move to Colorado. Who doesn’t want out of California? Outrageous taxes, choking regulation. Sell that house for 1.5 mill and buy twice the footprint for 85k in a Denver suburb.
The CEO is from Colorado and has a sprawling second home there. He also hates Houston weather so stay tuned...
Whoever thinks that Denver is going to save them from a Houston type environment needs to take a good look at their own obvious pathetic fragility. The problem is not Houston or San Ramon or whatever you think it is. Just a tip.
