We need to come to work each day knowing that none of us are safe anymore. No matter how good one may be it does not create a safety net or immunity from the layoffs. This is their mission and it will be accomplished regardless of us already being spread thin. Tis is the BNYM way
That happened to me. I was told a ton of good stuff about me and my performance and then than told me sorry but someone in our group has to be below expectations and since your position is the least important (admin asst.) I had to rate you that. I know it’s not fair he/she said. I contested but never heard anything back. This is after over 38 years of never receiving a negative performance appraisal. I was let go a year later.
