Is Dallas Office next?

Have seen top executives (VP's) leaving TR Carrollton office. Now all new technology positions are opened mainly in Canada and few in MN. Is the Carrollton office next in line to shut-down?

I know people have said this before but the HR function is there to support the Company and not the employee. As a matter of fact, HR @ TR is one of the weakest depts there. I know from my own personal recruitment there and trying to get them to help me fill open roles over the years. Useless. Sorry to the HR Ladies who troll here.

I know a bunch of people that were terminated due to the fact that they weren't in the office that their boss wanted them in. Interesting how things play out, and shows how much an individual boss played into those decisions. Now with virtually everyone working from home, those decisions that impacted peoples livelihoods, really shine a light on how some managers used their power to purge people unnecessarily. The ones I am thinking about were working in an office,, but just not the right one. This is where HR should have stepped in and put an end to the bullying.

Showcase is too strong a word. The exec offices in the front look the best. The farther back into the building you go, the less showcasey it is. I think work from home will be the norm for TR - a lot of office costs transfer to employees that way and the office expense reimbursement isn't generous.

I always liked the Carrollton office, but I always laughed when I saw that reserved set of spots for senior leadership, with all really expensive cars by the main entrance. Don't you think some of them could have used the exercise and walked from the farthest point in the lot?
I remember when there were space concerns in that office, now with the move of many of those roles overseas, they will have a problem filling even 1/2. I don't think they do anything rash if the office opens and with the new CEO, I am sure there is a plan for the business. He comes from a consultant background and private equity, so what do you think he was brought in for? This will look a whole lot different in 2022.

The Carrollton office is a mammoth facility and it really is the showcase as far as the main office space for Tax and Accounting. I used to work out of Ann Arbor and always enjoyed traveling to Carrollton. I despise the ugliness and lack of cohesion in the Ann Arbor office when I worked at TR.

I think some of the ways they jettison the office is if there is a complete, wholesale shift to remote work or if they sell off significant components of tax & accounting.

The company purchased the Ann Arbor facility about 3 years ago.

@OP+1aoAP6Vu I was wondering that same thought. I think that is a possibility in the next 12-24. BPec is the big exec there. If he goes will anyone care about Dallas?
