Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Big problem

A big mistake I see is the decision to bring in new managers who don't know the job. "You were good in leading that department" does NOT mean they will be good in a completely different department. Then it's like having a newly-elected mayor coming in and telling the fire department how to fight fires. They have all of the authority but none of the ability.

Big problem. Repeated problem.

A good observation from @7mmw+1adtfEOo, bumped for visibility.

Have you noticed all the dead weight managers from the top of the hierarchy getting let go in wealth management. Bringing in Chase people to hope and pray they can turn USB into CPC. There is still more fat to cut!

Hah! Especially when they come from Target and US bank thinks a good merchandiser can be a great manager in banking.

Remember Fecal matter floats at first... then it takes a dive. Just give it time.

US Bank is headed for the toilet. Just give it time.

This is so TRUE in TOS! Incompetent managers (can't call them leaders) at all levels.

LOL What about all those managers who were terrible leaders but they kept getting promoted?

People often joke about Fecal Matter floating to the top... but at USB it gets to fly in First Class!

I lost count of how many times I observed the best managers get pushed out in favor of people who were completely ineffectual. Then these same people would be promoted way beyond their abilities.
