Was let go last year because of the bs false BE rating that all managers “fight” not to give. True leaders won’t even think about playing these game, but the managers here use it as retribution to those that don’t “kiss their ring”. Best part of the whole lay-off experience was that I was let go the same day that the newly minted CEO exclaimed in a town hall that they weren’t doing lay offs.

You're correct ratings don't play a part. They base it on Age, gender and if you don't play in the sandbox.
Ratings don't play a very big role in deciding who is downsized.
