Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

How much did Sam's disappoint your expectations?

When I got the job here, I didn’t have any high expectations, but again I thought the company was a lot more serious than the company I moved from here. I expected that as a much larger company, they would treat their employees at least a little more professionally. However, it turned out that Sam’s is below all the expectations I had.

Haha Ladies and gentlemen! This all starts with the Regional manager and Market manager. They are the nastiest most crooked! Is there any state where you have kind words or have had a great personal experience with one? Feel free to shout out your state.

You, "I see no anger here, just the truth." speak the truth. I remember those meetings. Haven't had one in a very long time, over a year for sure. The lady in personnel, took care of most all our problems. We had carry–ins, cook outs, and breakfast was served at the meetings. You knew the other people who worked in the store.

Now, with rare exceptions, I can't tell you who works the morning shift. Never see them, never meet them. We were a team once. No longer.

Just the other day, the time clock congratulated me on reaching my ten year mark. I laughed. When I reached five, the personnel lady gave me a pin and the club manager congratulated me. Today, nothing, just a note on a clock. It's all changed, and not for the better.

I see no anger here, just the truth. Our club have very weak leadership. We hardly ever see our top manager. When I started working there 12 years ago, we had morning and afternoon meetings. The managers were present on the floor. If the front end got crazy, all COS' went on registers, we line rushed and all the managers were on the front helping out. It is not that way anymore. This has nothing to with UNION on my part. It is the facts. If you cannot go to management for assistance, then what good are they?

Wow ... such anger towards people. People are the ones in these roles correct ? Not robots ? So what kind of person speaks about leadership across the board like this? Oh wait I know union activity does, why ? The union wants to divide associates and leadership. Sad attempts from them but when you make ALL your money off others money I understand why you reach so hard. Keep reaching LOL 😂

I don't understand why we even have managers. Every manager has a different answer for the same issue. Most of the time our management team is zero help. They blow you off as if you a piece of gum stuck to the bottom of their shoe. And that goes for Team Leads also. When you take an issue to the team lead they give you a ridiculous solution. It is so frustrating. If I am going to have to problem solve on my own, perhaps I should get paid a bit more for tackling issues and getting results. Home Office needs to wise up. So to the answer the original post. yes Sam's is a huge disappointment. All the changes that are being made make no sense at all,

At the Store level Sams is one of the most unprofessional companies around. They mostly promote id--ts into management and let them implement company policy any way their id--tic minds can figure to do it. Also any sense of doing the right thing is non existent here, Most managers make decisions based solely on their own selfish motives. So what you have is a place ran by mostly d-mb selfish people who have no idea what professionalism and propriety are....
